Calling The Shotas – ‘Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou’ Episode 7 Review

Calling The Shotas - An Anime QandA Review of 'Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou' Episode 7

What’s the show? Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou, Episode 7.

What’s happening this episode? The summer time shenanigans are still continuing—this makes the third consecutive episode set during the summer break—and you’d ~think~ it’d get tiresome or they’d run out of ideas but nope, it’s still a heck of a lot fun and somehow things are getting even sexier now that Nana has settled back into the dorm a little.

Gal vs Loli. Fight!

*sigh* I don’t want to ask, but I have to—care to elaborate? Well we’ve got a moan inducing massage technique that Yuri teaches to Aki (testing it out on Sumire first of course) with also got all the exercise-related fan service you could poke a stick at with Nana and Yuzu competing for ~reasons~ but the sexy-time highlights culminate when Nana’s boy hungry friends come over to study but the only thing they end up studying is Aki’s body!

‘Tis but an innocent massage. Ignore the ropeplay…

Excuse me? You’re going to have to elaborate a little more on that part? Piqued your interest have I?

No! It’s not like that at all! You’re such a tsun… but since you’re so uninterested I’ll explain for the readers sake. Nana’s two friends should be doing their summer-break homework, but instead have spent their time off ogling young boys at the pool (it’d be creepy if the genders were reversed, right?) so Nana offers to help them study and fufil their carnal desires by offering Aki as a study reward, for every completed page of homework each girl gets 10 seconds to do ~whatever~ they want with Aki!

Oh dear. Thankfully, this isn’t a hentai, so as far as it goes is some under the clothes touching, suggestive name play, heads in laps and ear nibbling—this over stimulates poor Aki but Miss Caretaker comes to the rescue afterward, oh, did I say comes to the rescue I mean escalates everything by joining in with the shenanigans as things progress to ‘the King Game, Pocky edition’ which entails a lot of random mouths getting close together and a lot of unexpected girl on girl (albeit off-screen) that results in Nana’s two friends falling for Ayaka’s matronly charms.

They have seen the light coming from the two brightest suns in the sky.

It’s funny you mentioning the whole “it’d be creepy if the genders were reversed” thing—‘cause it still sounds kinda creepy as it is. I guess it depends what you’re into—besides as flustered as Aki gets he’s totally into it, either that or it’s Stockholm syndrome…

Very reassuring… so anything else you wanted to add? As mentioned last week Nana is a fantastic addition to the cast and that fact doesn’t change here either—the rest of the cast doesn’t slack off either and the more time I spend with them the more I enjoy them all! There’s a comfortable format developing with these episodes but at the same time the shenanigans still manage to entertain and remain fresh which is a testament to the quality of the writing and characterisation—plus it being kinda pervier than most shows of this type is certainly a boon in its favour!

I love that he attempts to hide his gaze, but not really.

  1. Is it just me or has things escalated ever since Nana and her friends entered the picture?

  2. So, I read this and then I went back and read your review for episode one. I haven’t been reading any episodes reviews for anything this season but I have been curious about this particular anime, you know being a bit of a shota lover and all. Anyhow, I won’t like this show will I? There’s too many girls competing about the (what is she? Caretaker? I’m gonna call her…) mommy’s attention? When I first read about the show it seemed like the shota would get all the girls attention and I be like; Yay, finally a shota with a harem. That’s not the case, right?

Anyway, I’ve missed reading your reviews so now I’m gonna go browse your blog and see if there is anything I can manage to watch and catch up with you, so I can start to read them again. Otherwise I just have to wait till fall to start reading them again. Hiatuses is good sometimes, but sucks for reasons, this being one.

    • It’s apparently a ~romance~ anime with the Aki and the caretaker at the centre however I think it’s at least a BIT of a harem, plenty of the other girls show interest in him and he in them. Especially now that Nana has joined the show as well as her shota thirsty school friends.

Honestly I’m not sure if you’d like it but I think it’s a lot of fun. There’s a little bit of shota-service (is that what it’s called?) but its mostly lots of boobs and butts. That said my missus enjoys the show, but she has similar tastes in anime to me.

Glad to see you back even if it’s just for a short while, I’ve missed seeing you on here. Hope you’re feeling a little better.

      • Hm…🤔 I am curious, I have to admit. I should just plunge in and give it a shot I think. Boobs can be enticing when done right with a shota. 😎 Gawd, I sound like the worst pervers. 😳 Nevermind, I am so it’s all okey.

I like the word shota-service so let’s just call it that shall we. I have no idea what to call it but I totally understand what you mean.

Thank you. ❤️ I’m better, I just need to gather my thoughts and find some enjoyment in writing again. But I know I will get there eventually. I have started with some drafts, I just have to finish them too. 🙄 Anyway, I miss this world a lot; you and all the other crazy odd-balls. ❤️
